Armed Forces Emergency Services
AFES
American Red Cross provides emergency services to members of the United States military and their families as well as support to veterans. Every day, thousands of service men and women on active and active reserve duty turn to the Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES) of the American Red Cross for emergency communication with families, confidential counseling, and assistance in getting loans and grants from military aid societies. AFES workers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide assistance to members of our armed forces and their families.
For most AFES services contact the chapter between 08:30 and 17:00 (8:30 am and 5:00 pm), Monday through Friday.
