Emergency Preparedness KitWith a recent poll showing only seven percent of the nation has taken what the Red Cross considers to be the three necessary steps to prepare for an emergency: get a kit, make a plan, and be informed – now is the time for families, teachers and caregivers to utilize safe educational media tools, such as www.beredcrossready.org, to help children learn safety skills in a fun, informative and safe environment.

Emergencies can strike at anytime.  Prepare yourself with an Emergency Preparedness Kit.  The kit is packed with useful items to aid an adult for three days during the event of an emergency.  This kit contains food bars (4800 calories), emergency blanket, rain poncho with hood, breathing mask, 2 qts water, whistle, water storage bag, three 12-hour light sticks, flashlight w/batteries, AM/FM radio w/batteries, pair of work gloves, six moist towelettes, 10’ x 10’ plastic sheeting, emergency preparedness card, duct tape, First Aid/Preparedness Instruction booklet and a personal first aid kit - all packed in a heavy duty and portable red nylon backpack.

Kit Price: $60.00 + sales tax $5.00 = $65.00.

Proceeds benefit Brazos Valley Branch of Heart of Texas Area Chapter American Red Cross. Contact us to purchase one today!

" I recently started using that "www.goodsearch.com" search engine more often and I love it! Of course I put in the Heart of Texas Area Chapter of  the American Red Cross as my preferred beneficiary of the proceeds, so slowly but surely that should be getting some extra donation money for ARC. Select American Red Cross - Heart of Texas Area Chapter as your charity and the chapter receives approximately one penny for each search! GoodSearch will send each organization a check once a year in December for the funds earned through the prior 12 months ending Sept. 30 providing the organization has accrued $20 or more. Please give it a try -- if 100 people would make two searches a day for one year we would make $730!!
